Social Innovation means that the social element is embedded in both the development of new ideas, solutions, and in the outcome itself. This means that the process itself should create new relationships and provide participants and stakeholders with increased resources, such as knowledge and power.
In the context of Social Innovation, changes in power dynamics and relationships are seen as crucial for creating sustainable systemic change. Therefore, there is an ethical dimension to social innovation, as equality, emancipation, and sustainability are at the core of it.
