Since 2022, the Danish Social Innovation Academy has explored themes that affect the way we understand, live and develop our welfare society in different ways.
WHAT?
We have discussed labor shortages in the welfare professions, different expectations of what welfare is, and new ways of creating welfare. All based on a recognition of the need to innovate, change and develop if the welfare society as a social model is to survive and continue to enable good lives for the many.
2022
WHY?
In our work, it has become clear that the conversation about welfare is often about 'who, what and how' and less about welfare as an underlying ideal of the Danish social model. And when welfare is often discussed from a specific domain, target group or professionalism, it becomes difficult to discuss, challenge and thus think about the welfare society in new ways.
HOW?
Therefore, in 2024/25 we will conduct a study to provide a knowledge-based foundation for developing and presenting some radically different perspectives on how the welfare society can develop. The study will be carried out by a working group with members, external experts and the secretariat as executors, and is expected to be completed in late summer 2025.
